Introduction

XAT 2025 XAT 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, January 05, 2025. Conducted by XLRI on behalf of XAMI, the XAT exam has been a benchmark in selecting the most qualified candidates for management education for over 75 years. As one of the oldest and most prestigious competitive exams in India, XAT continually evolves to incorporate the latest advancements in testing methodologies. Its comprehensive, multidimensional assessment framework is meticulously designed to evaluate candidatesโ€™ aptitude for success in business leadership. The XAT score is recognized by over 250 institutes across the country for their admission processes.

XAT 2025 would be conducted across India in the following cities.

Registration Procedure

Register for XAT 2025 and XLRI at www.xatonline.in You can also use your XAT 2025 score to apply for admission to various programs at XAT Associate Institutions.

Procedure for XAT and XLRI Registration:

  • Visit xatonline.in and click on
  • โ€œRegisterโ€.
  • Enter your name, email ID, contact details, and set a password.
  • A system-generated email/message will be sent to you. Save it for future communication
  • Verify your email by clicking on the link provided, then proceed to complete the application process.
  • If you canโ€™t complete the form in one go, you can save your progress by selecting the โ€œSAVE AND EXITโ€ tab.
  • Before submitting, carefully review your application and make any necessary changes.
  • Visually impaired candidates should double-check the details to ensure accuracy before submission.
  • Ensure your name and your parentsโ€™ names match the spelling in your official documents (Certificates, Mark sheets, ID proof). Any mismatch may disqualify your application.
  • Fill in your academic and work experience details.
  • Select your XLRI program preference if you wish to apply (either through XAT or GMAT).
  • Choose up to 6 preferred test cities when filling out the XAT application form. Pick a city close to your residence.
  • Note: You can only edit your test city preference once before November 30, 2024.
  • Scan and upload your photo and signature as per the given specifications.
  • Review the entire application form by clicking on the appropriate tabs before FINAL SUBMIT.
  • Once the application is submitted after payment, applicant details cannot be edited.
  • Click on the โ€œPaymentโ€ tab to make your payment and upload any required documents.
  • Finally, click on the โ€œSubmitโ€ button to complete your application.
  • Payment of Fees
  • XAT Registration Fee: Rs. 2200/- Candidates interested in XLRI programs need to pay an additional fee of Rs.
  • 200/- for each program.
  • Indian Candidates applying for PGDM (GM) through GMAT/GRE: Rs. 2500/-
  • NRI/Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programs through GMAT: Rs. 5000/-

Instructions

The application form is integrated with the payment gateway, and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.

Payment can be made using:

  • Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / MasterCard / Maestro)
  • Credit Cards
  • Internet Banking
  • IMPS
  • Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets
  • After submitting your payment information, wait for confirmation from the server. Do not press the back or refresh button to avoid double payment.
  • Upon successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated.
  • If the e-Receipt is not generated, it indicates payment failure. In such cases, log in again using your registered email ID and password, and repeat the payment process.
  • Save the e-Receipt and the online Application Form. If they cannot be generated, the transaction may not have been successful.
  • Card charges are listed in Indian Rupees. If using a non-Indian credit card, your bank will convert the amount based on prevailing exchange rates.
  • You can download or print the application form containing the fee details after successful payment.
  • Before applying, you will need a scanned image of your photograph and signature as per the given specifications.
  • If the photograph or signature is unclear, the application may be rejected.
  • In such cases, you can edit the application and re-upload a clearer photograph or signature.

Photograph Image

  • The photograph must be a recent passport-size color picture.
  • The           picture           should           have   a      light-colored background, preferably white.
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
  • If the picture is taken outdoors, ensure the sun is behind you or stand in the shade to avoid squinting or harsh shadows.
  • If using flash, make sure thereโ€™s no red-eye.
  • If you wear glasses, ensure there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible.
  • Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not allowed. Religious headwear is permitted, but it must not cover your face.
  • Preferred dimensions: 200 x 230 pixels.
  • File size should be between 20KB and 50KB.
  • Ensure the scanned image is no larger than 1024KB. If it exceeds this size, adjust scanner settings such as DPI resolution and color depth during scanning.

Signature Image

  • The applicant must sign on white paper using a black ink pen.
  • The signature must be done only by the applicant.
  • The signature will appear on the ADMIT CARD and where necessary.
  • The signature on the ADMIT CARD and the attendance sheet during the exam must match the uploaded signature. Any mismatch may result in disqualification.
  • Preferred dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels.
  • File size should be between 10KB and 20KB.
  • Ensure the scanned image size is no more than 20KB.

Scanning the Photograph & Signature

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi.
  • Use True Color settings.
  • Ensure the file size matches the specified limits.
  • Crop the image to the edges of the photograph or signature, then use the upload editor to adjust it to the final size.
  • The image file must be in JPG or JPEG format (e.g., image01.jpg or image01.jpeg).
  • You can check image dimensions by hovering over the file or listing folder details.
  • For MS Windows/MS Office users, you can easily obtain a photograph and signature in JPEG format (below 50KB for the photo and 20KB for the signature) using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager.
  • Scanned images in any format can be saved as
  • .jpg using the โ€˜Save Asโ€™ option, and the size can be reduced using the crop and resize functions.

If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed. While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his photograph and signature. Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature

  • There will be separate links for uploading the documents.
  • Click on the respective link to upload.
  • Browse & select the location where the Scanned Photo/ Signature file has been saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it.
  • Click on the โ€œUploadโ€ button.

Important Points to be remembered while applying

Visit www.xatonline.in and click on โ€œRegisterโ€. If already registered, you may kindly click on โ€œExisting Userโ€ or โ€œLoginโ€ to proceed.

Basic Info: Once you complete the application, a XAT ID will be generated. Make sure to note down your XAT ID for future communication.

  • Always mention your email, mobile number (provided during registration), and XAT ID in all future communications.
  • Ensure you provide a valid email ID and mobile number.
  • Use your personal email address as the primary contact in the application. (Avoid using an official email address, as communication may become difficult if you change jobs).
  • Add admis@xlri.ac.in as a trusted source in your emailโ€™s anti-spam settings to avoid missing important emails or having them go to your spam/junk folder.
  • Regularly check your email and make sure your inbox is accessible.
  • Provide the correct mobile number to receive SMS alerts.
  • XAT Registration Fee โ€“ Rs. 2200/-
  • Candidates interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- each.

Note: If you do not receive the registration confirmation mail, within 24 hours of signing up, please check your spam/junk folder just in case the confirmation email got delivered there instead of your inbox or you may click on โ€œResend Verification emailโ€.
